About Us
Coventry Rugby Supporters’ Club was re-launched in August 2016 following a growing wish expressed by supporters. It is an active, energetic and dynamic organisation, being officially recognised and supported by Coventry Rugby Club.
The Supporters’ Club is run by an elected committee, all of whom are volunteers, and is a
non-profit making organisation.
The Supporters' Club promotes functions and events which strengthen and facilitate relationships between supporters and Coventry Rugby in all aspects and operates within a clearly defined Constitution and to an agreed set of Objectives which listed below.
The Supporters' Club objectives are:
-To promote the interests of supporters, foster relations and mutual understanding with Coventry Rugby Club and other relevant bodies.
-Partner with Coventry Rugby to enhance matchday experience for supporters.
-To engage in fund-raising for the benefit of Supporters, the community and Coventry Rugby and/or nominated charities.
-Encourage supporter led projects and initiatives, providing them with financial, administrative and media support where appropriate.
-To foster good relations with rugby supporters from other clubs and to act as Ambassadors for Coventry Rugby
-To uphold the principles and playing codes of the RFU
-Organise coach travel to away games for supporters.
Membership is open to all supporters and the benefits include, but are not limited to:
• Regular events which include referee’s evenings where the laws of the game are explained using video evidence, supported by players who are able to provide experience as to the laws and their enforcement by the referee.
• Regular issues of ‘In Touch‘, the Newsletter of Coventry Rugby Supporters’ Club.
• ‘Your Say’ a poll to determine the Supporters’ Club Player of the Year award, plus other polls through the year.
• Discounted travel on coaches to away games and discounted admission deals at the away grounds.
• Prize draws.
• Discounts from our sponsors
• Special offers for certain games/events.
• Tours of the Butts Park Arena and all the facilities which contribute towards it being a successful rugby playing club as well as a successful independent commercial business.
